Tim Hartman formed Datu's Tribe
January
5, 2007 - First sponsor
Datu’s
Tribe gets its first sponsor. Silver Star Photography and Web Design
has graciously has offered to supply the Tribe with its web design
and photography needs.


January
15, 2007 - Second Sponsor
The
Tribe gets its second sponsor. Ronin Products; the leader in safety
equipment for padded weapon fighting, has supplied the team with
stick bags, gloves, helmets, shirts and hats for all of the members
of Datu’s Tribe.

January
27, 2007 - King Cobra’s Karate tournament in Erie, PA
Six
members of the Tribe competed at the King Cobra’s Karate
tournament in Erie, PA. This was the first outing for the tribe
as a unit. The majority of the members of the team ended up placing
in the top four in their divisions.
February
4, 2007 - “Disney Martial Arts Festival” in Anaheim, California
Datu
Hartman represented the Tribe at the “Disney Martial Arts
Festival” in Anaheim, California. At this competition Datu
Hartman earned a first place in single stick fighting and seconds
in double stick fighting and forms. In addition to the awards the
Datu also qualified for the USFMAF National tournament at Disney
World in October.

14, 2007 - Ohio State Championships
Datu's
Tribe competed in the 2007 Ohio State Championships, held in Newcomerstown,
Ohio and dominated. Competing for the Tribe were Datu Tim Hartman,
Sensei Kassine Omar Cass, Guro Scott Caffrey, Ryan Monolopolus
and Zack Patti. The Tribe came away with the following medals:

May
24th - 26th 2007 - NAFMA Championships Atlantic City, NJ
Team
HMA Dominates at the 07 NAFMA Championships!
Datu Tim Hartman took 26 members of Team HMA (Horizon Martial Arts) to the ‘07
NAFMA Championships in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This tournament had many
different events including Stick, Nunchaku & Point fighting as well as
Self Defense, Weapon & Hand forms to name a few. We haven’t got
the final total yet, but the team brought back over 35 National titles and
ALL members qualified for the NAFMA Team USA Trials. More information will
follow.

20-21 2007 - NAFMA US Team Trials
Qualifying
for the US NAFMA Team were Datu Tim Hartman (Player/Coach), Janice
Stranc, Omar Cass, Ryan Monolopolus & Patrick Miller

22, 2007 - New Jersey State Championships
Datu's
Tribe competed in the 2007 New Jersey State Championships and dominated
the league. Competing for the Tribe were Datu Hartman, Sensei Omar
Cass and Ryan Monolopolus.

29, 2007 - Queen City Laban Laro (New York State NAFMA Championships)
Datu's
Tribe competed in the 2007 Queen City Laban Laro/New York State
NAFMA Championships, held in Buffalo, NY and dominated. Competing
for the Tribe were Omar Cass, Ryan Monolopolus, Scott Caffrey,
Zack Patti & Patrick Miller.

16-17th, 2007 - IFOMA World Championships - Mount Laurel, NJ
Six
members of Datu's Tribe (Datu Hartman, Sensei Cass, Guro Caffery,
Guro Stranc, Ryan Monolopolus and Patrick Miller) participated
as members of Team USA for the 2007 World Championships. All six
members medaled for Team USA. With the collective efforts of Datus'
Tribe, they earned 6 World Championship titles assisting on this
years Team USA victory.
