Tim Hartman, esteemed local business owner of Horizon Martial Arts and Vice President of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, has proudly qualified to represent the United States at the World Championships in the Philippines this August. Competing at the East Coast National Tournament, Hartman showcased his skill in two forms divisions and one stick fighting division, achieving two golds and one silver medal.
A respected ambassador of Filipino martial arts and the Modern Arnis style, Hartman has taught in 28 states and 18 countries. However, this marks his inaugural competition in the Philippines at a World Championship level, adding a significant milestone to his distinguished career.
Hartman’s participation at the tournament was not only about competition but also about leadership and inspiration. Known for his camaraderie, compassion, and humility, he actively encouraged and coached fellow competitors, enhancing the spirit of the event.
